Burgundy Discovery wine tours

Villages and Wine Growers

Since 2003 Burgundy Discovery has built wonderful relationships with it’s winegrowers and we regularly receive feedback from our guests that this is part of what makes our tours so special. We introduce you to amazing Burgundy characters who make wonderful wines with heartfelt passion.

We have around 20 winegrowers, all of whom are family growers and many only rarely receive visitors. As the businesses are small and frequently they have to return from tending the vines to host our tastings, then we always make appointments in advance of our visits. These appointments are made around a week in advance of the date of our visit, so we are often unable to advise you of specifically which wine growers we will visit more than a week in advance of the tour.

We currently visit winegrowers throughout the Côte de Beaune, Côte de Nuits, Côte Chalonnaise and the Hautes Côtes, in the villages of :Gevrey Chambertin, Vosne Romanée, Nuits St Georges, Corgoloin,Ladoix Serrigny, Pernand Vergelesses, Savigny lès Beaune, Chorey lès Beaune, Echevronne, Fussey, Beaune, Meursault, Monthélie, Auxey Duresses, St Romain, St Aubin, Maranges, Santenay, Remigny, Rully and Givry.

In Burgundy though you do not have to visit the village to taste wine from vineyards within it. Frequently even small domaines have land spanning 6 to 8 different villages, and often 2 or even 3 Côtes. Our spread of winegrowers allows us to cover the majority of the 100 different Burgundy appellations available.

We try and give all our tours a good balance of growers and locations and where practical or possible we include clients requests for specific wines to taste or locations to visit.

If you would like more detail of the wine growers we are likely to visit on our tours then we are happy to send you their details on request. This may help you if you are planning to visit others yourself.
