The winegrowers we visit on our wine tours produce great wines with heartfelt passion. We realise that, for many of our guests, it is difficult to return regularly to Burgundy to stock up their cellars. Our guests have been asking us for some time to help them re-order the wines they taste and now we have a solution – at least for our guests from the UK and northern Europe.
We have formed an association with Guy Boursot of Boursot’s Wine Collection a specialist wine merchant in the charming small town of Ardres just 20 minutes drive from the channel port of Calais and just one hour from Lille. This is a great opportunity to buy wine from the winegrowers you have visited in Burgundy, and when collecting your wine, select wines from other regions of France in Guy’s shop.
Despite his French name, Guy is English and has a lifetime’s experience in the wine business. Burgundy Discovery will ship wine from the winegrowers we visit to Guy’s shop in Ardres for you to collect in your own car on a day trip or weekend break in northern France.
How to order
We are in the process of building, as part of our new Bringing Burgundy To You web site, secure online ordering for our winegrowers wines. This will go live this summer.
To avoid missing out on your summer wine we can, as an interim, accept visa and mastercard “cardholder not present” transactions (details by email or telephone) for wines from the list of growers below. You can email your order to us and we will calculate the shipping cost to Ardres and let you know the total price.
Wine can be ordered in multiples of six bottles of the same Appellation from a single winegrower. The minimum total order is 12 bottles. We can advise you of the vintages and availability.
Orders initially will be shipped to Ardres on a two-monthly basis and we will notify you the delivery date in Ardres so that you can organise your trip to collect.
